Veneer – A natural product
Veneer is a natural product .Each tree is an individual, formed by environment, weather and the years. Good quality logs that is suitable for the veneer production. Wood has a positive effect on most people. Wood veneer is experienced warm, soft, comfortable, and wonderful surface material. Although the industry inventory consistently lists some thirty or so species available, only a few are available in sufficient quantities to offer reasonable selection possibilities. Common here longer average lengths are available. Each veneer is unique to a particular tree, grain and color is different .Some of the veneers that we use are shown below:

Walnut: Tough wood even but coarse texture, straight grained with occasional wavy grain patterns. |

Cherry : Hard straight grained with firm texture .Heart wood is reddish brown to deep red, with brown flecks and will naturally darken with age .Works well with hand and machine tools, finishes well. |

Maple: Hard heavy straight grained wood with a fine texture. Heartwood is light reddish, brown. Irregular grain often makes this wood some what difficult to work with. Turns well, stains fair, finishes well. |

Oak: Straight grained wood with a coarse texture that varies according to rate of growth .Color ranges light cream ,pinkish red to dark tan or golden brown .Machines with hand and power tools used for furniture, turning ,takes a stain well. |

Ash: Light Brown heartwood with almost all white sapwood. Straight grain, with course, texture .Excellent bending properties and shock resistance. |

Pine: Origin Central, Northern and Eastern Europe. Uses: Sliced and peeled veneer .It also used for doors, panel and furniture manufacturing. |
Beech: Beech is large in dimension often 60 cm and more in diameter .It also used for furniture .Similar woods; Steamed hard maple, Norway maple Origin, Europe. Heavy, hard and strong; stiff with good shock resistance and wear properties. Medium, luster, finishes well. Heartwood light reddish brown, displaying fine modularly ray flecks. Experiences , considerable, movement in use due to high, shrinkage. |
Poplar Burl: Poplar burl grows in practically every region .The burls can be very large and ideally suited for architectural wood working and any areas where large surfaces need to be covered .Poplar burl is often sold as mappa burl.

Sapele: Origin West and Central Africa. The color is from pink to dark red and is usually quarter sliced .It can also be flat sliced to produce veneers for the pronounced cathedral grain .This kinds of woods is used primarily for architectural ,paneling and furniture.

Doka: Origin Central Africa .Common names; Abogo, Doka, Kosou. Sapwood color: The sapwood is silver color and is tinged with red to light brown in color .The grain is usually interred locked on uneven. Texture the wood is coarse in texture. Durability: The doka is susceptible to termite, marine borer, and pinhole borer attack .Resistance to impregnation .The sapwood is moderately resistant.

Moabi: Origin West Africa, good durability. Sapwood: susceptible to fungal and insect resistant, also termite-resistant. Biologically active wood: irritation of mucous membranes. Metal corrosion, due to damp wood.

Limba: Similar woods Koto. Origin; Africa, Limba is a favorite for wood for the production of sliced and peeled veneers. Also used in furniture production, for painted doors and moldings.

Our Veneers Length
Panel Length : Log and veneer lengths between 250 cm and 360 cm required by the paneling industry.
Furniture length: Veneer differing in length from 1.00 m to 3.80 m within one log which can be worked by the living room furniture industry
Door Length : Log and veneer lengths between 205 cm and 245 cm required by the door industry.
Width: 12 cm and up.
Grading Line: All veneers is graded and priced here on the grading line .All veneer is checked out at this point for cutting quality.
